AI Use & Data Responsibility
This is how 1520ai approaches the responsible use of artificial intelligence and the handling of data within our platform.
Our goal is to build AI systems that are transparent, accountable, and appropriate for regulated healthcare environments.
Purpose of Our AI
1520ai develops AI-enabled tools to support healthcare compliance, documentation integrity, quality oversight, and operational decision-making.
Our AI is designed to assist professionals, not replace them.
Responsible Use of AI
We apply the following principles across our AI systems:
Human oversight is required for all meaningful decisions
AI outputs are advisory and informational
Automation does not replace professional judgment
Use cases are intentionally scoped and constrained
We do not deploy autonomous AI systems that make independent clinical, regulatory, or eligibility determinations.
Use of Generative AI
Generative AI may be used to:
Summarize documentation patterns
Identify potential gaps or inconsistencies
Support clarity and completeness review
Assist with audit preparedness and education
Generative AI is not used to fabricate clinical events, create false documentation, or substitute required attestations.
Data Responsibility
Customer Data Ownership
All customer data remains the property of the customer. 1520ai does not claim ownership of clinical data, documentation, or derived insights.
Data Use Limitations
Customer data is used only for purposes defined by contractual agreement and authorized workflows. Data is not sold, shared, or used for unrelated commercial purposes.
Model Training
Customer data is not used to train shared or generalized AI models without explicit agreement. Organization-specific learning remains isolated to that organization.
Privacy and Security Alignment
AI systems are designed in alignment with our Privacy & Responsible AI and Security & Compliance commitments.
This includes:
Role-based access controls
Data minimization practices
Controlled learning mechanisms
Auditability and oversight
Limitations and Safeguards
AI systems have inherent limitations. Outputs may be incomplete, context-dependent, or subject to interpretation.
Users are expected to review outputs critically and apply professional judgment. 1520ai does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or regulatory outcomes.
Accountability
We maintain internal governance over AI use cases, model behavior, and data handling practices. Concerns related to AI outputs or data use are reviewed and addressed through defined internal processes.
